Peyton (boy)

Peyton Thomas Peyton is a very strong, masculine name in my opinion. Thomas is the name of a close friend, as well as an uncle.

Peyton is an English surname derived from the Old English name "Poega" and the suffix -ton, meaning "town; settlement." Peyton became popular as a first name in the late 20th century USA probably due to the football player Peyton Manning. That, and it conformed to trends already happening at the time: 1. it was a surname used as a first name and 2. it had the two-syllable long a + -en thing going, as was already popular in names like Jayden, Kaitlyn etc.
